Trained as an visual artist at the Rietveld Academy (BA) and the Sandberg Institute (MFA), I got interested in the field of art, aesthetics and organization when I was working on hypertexts. At present I am doing a Ph.D./DBA at the department of Critical Organizational Studies of the University of Humanistics in Utrecht, The Netherlands. My research focuses on the dialogue between artists and people in organizations.

Together with artist Elias Tieleman I have been practicing art professionally since end 1997. We work under the artist name Orgacom. Orgacom focuses on visualizing the culture of organizations (companies as well as non-profit organizations) and other groups of people (classes, municipal quarters) through contemporary visual art. We have been exhibiting our work in museums and artist-run-centers as well as on location in non-for-profit-organizations, companies and conferences.

Orgacom received attention from national (NRC, Volkskrant, Trouw, De Morgen, De Standaard en de Telegraaf), local newspapers (Waalpost, Rotterdams Dagblad, Noordhollands Dagblad), magazines (Vrij Nederland), radio (Radio Rijnmond, Radio Noordholland), public and professional media (Financials Only, Management en Communicatie, Interregio, Next), art (Metropolis M, Kunstbeeld, Beelden, Lucasx, Tubelight, HTV) and design magazines (Items, Form, Identity Matters, Elle Wonen, De Architect).

Board memberships of TransArtists, STROOM,  HTV News (free artist-run-newspaper), Young Designers + Industry, Committee Fine Art and Design of the City Counsel of Amersfoort. Advisory work for diverse small art organizations in the Netherlands.
