Although in my fifth decade I'm new to academia. My career path has taken me through a number of twists and turns: orchestral musician, music teacher, pastor, car salesman, careers counsellor and now lecturer. I joined Massey University 's Albany campus two and a half years ago and lecture in Business Communication.

My research interest is in organisational aesthetics and I'm currently writing my PhD thesis on this subject. I'm developing an aesthetic research methodology from a musical perspective. To do this I'm investigating the Auckland Philharmonia, one of two full-time orchestras in New Zealand .
