John is president and CEO of Creative Leaps International and The Learning Arts and works creatively and interpretively across the arts, sciences and a variety of sub-disciplines dedicated to learning and human development. Educated at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (biology & physics), the State University of New York at Albany (learning theory), and the Manhattan and Juilliard Schools of Music (music & voice), Cimino is an avid champion of the arts in education and professional life, and has succeeded in bringing his "Concerts of Ideas" and other innovative arts programming into projects of the White House, the Center for Creative Leadership, the International Creative Problem-Solving Institute and the leadership training programs of dozens of Fortune 500 companies, universities and institutes for professional development. Recent projects include keynote presentations before the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the Association for Managers of Innovation, the Academy of Management and the national Arts & Business Council where Cimino introduced his models and practices for arts-based thinking and learning in executive education. Cimino is also an award-winning operatic and concert artist, a composer, poet and librettist, and a consultant on creativity, renewal and lifelong learning.
