Ever since I have studied phenomenology, I´m fascinated relating "aesthetics" and "art" to life-worldly processes of organising and managing within "in-corporations". Interpreted phenomenologically as a sensual process and embodied practice, aesthetic experiences and artistic processes offer an intriguing approach to "inter-stand" the fabric of organisations` and managements´ everyday activities and potential realities.

·Accordingly, I´m interested in the contribution of critical phenomenological approaches and methodologies for developing an anti-positivistic, a-causal, non-reductionistic and non-reifying approach, aiming to discover the aesthetic and expressive nature of "living" organisational and managerial events themselves.

·Following particularly Merleau-Ponty, I work on the relevance of a embodiment, perception and emotions (and its inter-play) for a post-Cartesian "interstanding" of art and aesthetics for integrating aesthetics in organisational life-worlds and a artful management. This includes an interest for how responsive experiences with art and aesthetic processes are transformational and creative in terms of their critical, dystopic and utopic potential in organizations.

Finally, here are some notes on my background and present situation: After being an employee in the industrial world for several years; and besides studying philosophy (Ruhr University, Bochum), I have studied economics and business administration at the somewhat experimental, free Witten/Herdecke, University in Germany; where I also pursued a Ph.D. on "Phenomenology of Service Quality". Afterwards, I have been involved in a research project on demotivation at the Institute of Leadership and HR-Management, at St. Gallen University. Currently, I´m affiliated as a senior research fellow at the chair for business administration, leadership and organisation, at the University in Hagen, Germany. Currently I´m further developing an extended research project on what I call integral "pheno-practice" of responsive aesthetic organisations and leadership. Together with Pierre, Ken and Luca, I´m organising a stream on art/aesthetics/leadership at the Euram-Conferences. Furthemore I do convene streams of "Phenomenology of Art and Aesthetics in organisational and managerial life-worlds" at the "Art of Management Conference" http://www.essex.ac.uk/AFM/emc /third_art_of_management_and _org.shtm
