Member - Nanette Monin

 

Nanette Monin is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management and International Business, at Massey University 's Albany Campus, Auckland New Zealand . She holds degrees in English Literature from the University of Otago , and a PhD in Management from the University of Auckland . She has published papers on metaphor theory, dramatism, and the deconstruction of management theory in the Journal of Management Studies, Organization and the Journal of Organizational Change Management , and on narratives and science fiction as chapters in books on organizational theory.







She is the author of Management Theory: A Critical & Reflexive Reading (Routledge, 2004) and is the co-editor of two books: Narratives of Business & Society: Differing New Zealand Voices (Longmans, 1999) and The Global Garage: Home-based business in New Zealand (Thomson Learning, April, 2005)

She teaches an undergraduate class, Professional and E-Business Writing, and Graduate papers based on critical approaches to management theory. She is supervising PhD theses on: logology and the management of knowledge; ordinary share-holders' values and investment decision-making; and critical studies of financial theory.

She is a Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Management Studies, and an ad hoc reviewer for the Academy of Management Review , Organization Studies, and the Journal of Organizational Change Management.
