Already as a student various assignments sparked my ongoing interest in alternative ways of conducting organizational research and development. Realizing the somewhat conservative landscape of organizational research, my interest in the creative and search for "academic affinity" have thus led me to Acorn.

In collaboration with Nicoline Jacoby Petersen I have carried out a Master Thesis about Knowledge Management in knowledge extensive organizations. Integrating Psychology and Communication Theory theoretically as well as empirically, our analysis aims at highlighting the various dynamics and dilemmas involved in managing and maintaining valuable knowledge.

The thesis has spun of a number of activities, however primarily in a Danish context. One has been the investigation into alternative and more creative research methods within organizational research. Amongst others this work has resulted in an article about organizational photography, which was accepted and presented at the Academy of Management in Seattle 2003.

Presently I live in South East Asia from where I am working as a freelance consultant focusing on the cultural differences between Western and Asian ways of handling knowledge in an organizational context. Moreover I have been involved in the aftermath of the Tsunami catastrophe in Thailand in the early months of 2005. My main focus in this work has been revolving around the various narratives at play during a crisis of this magnitude and their impact on aspects like role differentiation, knowledge management, organizational culture and identity, etc. Whether this will result in more in depth theoretical studies has not yet been decided.
