Musician and researcher
I work with different aspects of music and music production. I work as a performing musician (bas), as a choir conductor, as a composer (mostly writing pieces for mixed choir), and as a producer / sound engineer.
In my studio I have co-written songs with various singer-songwriters. Experiencing the collective flow that sometimes occur in these co-writing sessions, sparked my curiosity, and was the start of my current research project in the field of arts-in-business.
In the research project, I am interested in finding ways of recreating the artists’ ways of collaboration in business settings.
I find that the theoretical framework that David Bohm and William Isaacs among others have created around dialogue is very useful in this endeavour.
I believe that dialogue touches upon some of the essential dynamics that also characterizes successful artistic collaboration.
